About Data Race
Mission
Global statistics are publicly available but often buried in spreadsheets and complex databases, making them hard to explore. Data Race is a solo project built to change that — transforming open data into engaging animated visualizations that anyone can understand at a glance. No sign-up, no paywall, no barriers.
What Data Race Does
Data from official public sources is turned into interactive animated visualizations that show how countries and regions have changed over time. Every visualization runs entirely in your browser — no server processing, no downloads.
- Bar Chart Race — Animated rankings for countries, companies, and regions
- Line Chart — Historical trends with interactive tooltips
- Pie Chart — Global share and composition analysis
- World Map — Geographic distribution with color-coded scales
- Scope filtering to compare entities within regions, sectors, or custom groups
- Full data table with rankings, values, and period-over-period changes
- Short-form videos on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram for bite-sized data stories
